The audio/video recording feature depends on the third-party API integrated into the system. The API currently integrated is AtomChat that does support the recording functionality. However, we are coming up with a new release of Yo!Coach with a new API - LessonSpace that supports audio/video recording.
- Trial sessions are the initial meetings between the teachers and students, serving as a way of exchanging introductions.
- Teachers provide a brief teaching demonstration so both parties can decide whether working together is a good fit.
- Trial sessions last for 15 minutes (set by the admin) and are free of cost. Students can book trial lessons by:
- Finding a teacher they want to book a trial with.
- On the teacher's detailed information page, they will see a 'Book Free Trial' button.
- Clicking the 'Book Free Trial' button will open the availability calendar, allowing the selection of a date and time for the trial sessions.
- Click 'Book Lesson', which will redirect to the checkout page where you need to 'Confirm Order'. Your trial lesson is then booked.
- The system allows each student to take one trial lesson per teacher.
The audio/video recording feature depends on the third-party API LessonSpace that supports audio/video recording integrated into the system. All session recordings are stored for 3months so all learners can replay ended sessions for maximum of 3 months
To schedule a lesson:

- Sign in to the account. Go to "Mentors," which will open a list of teachers registered on the portal.
- Select a teacher with whom you want to schedule a lesson and go to his/her profile.
- Students can now either book a free trial session or purchase a lesson.
- Booking a free trial will open the availability calendar of the mentor. Students can then select a date and time from the calendar and confirm the booking.
- To purchase a lesson, students are required to make the payment and further schedule the lesson according to the mentor's availability.
- To get started on the platform, students are required to register with their email account and verify it by clicking the link sent to their email address.
- After verification, students can log in and set up their profile by adding a picture, phone number, country, timezone, etc.
- Students can then search for mentors based on their requirements by entering the subject or course name.
- After shortlisting mentors, students can book a free trial session to better understand the mentor and see if they are a good fit.
- Following that, students can select a suitable mentor and continue with their classes.
Yes, teachers and students can see the scheduled lessons as per their time zones, simplifying the problem for teachers and students located in different time zones. They can go to "Settings" and select their "Time Zone".
Yes, a learner/teacher can reschedule/unschedule a lesson till allowed duration(set by Admin). To reschedule a lesson:
- Sign in to the account. Go to "Lessons".
- The scheduled lesson will be listed under the "Lessons".
- Click on the "Reschedule Lesson" icon of the missed lesson.
- A pop-up box will open. Mention a comment for rescheduling the lesson for the student and click "Send".
Teachers can include the YouTube link of their introduction video to make it more attractive. They can also include relevant information about themselves like biography, skills, experience, and languages which also helps in making their profile outstanding.
